For lawyers, notaries and bankers
Introducing a family to Ridger
Do you advise a family whose affairs need coordination? Lawyers, private bankers and independent asset managers can introduce them to us, in full discretion.
Some families work with several banks, hold structures in different jurisdictions and rely on advisers who do not always talk to each other. You often see it before they do: what is missing is an overall view and someone to hold the thread.
Working with Ridger as a family office referral partner means handing that coordination to someone who respects your place as the introducer. We do not manage assets and we do not give legal advice; we organise the information and make everyone's work easier.
Who we work with
Lawyers and notaries
Estates, family agreements, foundations or business succession: your work benefits from up-to-date wealth information and careful follow-up of the decisions taken with the family.
Private bankers
Your client banks with several institutions and wants the full picture. We consolidate without placing products, and your relationship stays yours.
External asset managers
You run the mandate, we coordinate the rest: administration, tax matters with the specialists, documents and deadlines. Consolidated reporting shows your mandate within the family's overall wealth.
Tax advisers and fiduciaries
Complete, well-organised documents, a calendar that is followed and a contact who knows the file: tax returns and planning become simpler to prepare.
How an introduction works
A first conversation
You describe the situation, without names if you prefer. We tell you honestly whether we can help.
Meeting the family
We meet the family, with you or without you, whichever suits them best.
Scoping the mandate
Together we agree on the scope of our work and who does what, so every role is clear from the start.
Ongoing coordination
We coordinate over time. You stay informed to the extent the family chooses.
Who does what
- You
- You keep your mandate and your relationship with the family: legal advice, deeds, portfolio management or banking, depending on your profession.
- Ridger
- We coordinate the advisers, consolidate the family's wealth in a single report and oversee the administration. We do not manage assets or give legal advice, so we do not compete with your mandate.
- The family
- They keep control of decisions and choose what is shared, with whom and when.
Discretion, on both sides
Confidentiality is at the heart of our work. The family's documents are kept in a digital vault hosted in Switzerland, and information is shared only with the people who need it.
The family decides what passes between its advisers. We respect the confidentiality duties of your profession: a first conversation can take place without any names, and nothing is passed on without the family's agreement.
Introduce a family
A few lines are enough. We will come back to you quickly and in confidence.
